In spring 2021, as part of an educational innovation initiative, three postgraduate researchers and a doctoral researcher, collaborators of the RAISD project, designed and organized an international youth congress around the theme: forced migration, gender and vulnerabilities. Relying on the competence of young researchers, the Research for Change Workshop wanted to give prominence to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, with the aim of providing them with a platform to present their work and improve their careers in a creative and dynamic way. The event had a wide international impact, especially on social networks and through the ECRE platform, reaching 13,000 people. This article describes the organization process, dissemination and results of Research for Change, from the previous strategic planning and design of the event to its celebration and subsequent evaluation. The event brought together nearly 40 researchers from 5 continents in 6 thematic tables for two days. The results were very positive, both from the perspective of the KPIs, and from a qualitative evaluation of the opinions of the participants. Likewise, a discussion is offered on the adequacy of the methodology for this type of activity. |
