Teaching professional development at university: a perspective from leadership

Popis: This paper shows the results from a study on a teaching professional development project which has involved many teachers at the University of Alicante (Spain). The project main objective is to promote a change in the teaching professional culture. The findings indicate that it has been widely disseminated within the University and has succeeded in transforming the teachers’ attitudes. The results allow to describe the characteristic features of the kind of leadership in the project and to know the perception that team coordinators have about the achievements made, especially its contribution to a professional improvement for teachers.
