Popis: | The purpose of the article is to discuss the peculiarities of the development of bandura art in the XVIXVIII centuries in combination with a detailed analysis of historical divisions. The research methods are selected in line with the objective. The scientific novelty is to reveal the concepts of "kobza" and "bandura", reflecting the features of the instruments "kobza" and "bandura", the search for a logical connection between the influence of historical events and the development of bandura art. Conclusions. Bandura art is an integral part of the musical culture of Ukraine. During the XVIXVIII centuries, the formation of kobzarism as a socio-cultural phenomenon, from which gradually separates such a variety of musical creativity as bandurizm. Kobza becomes an accessible musical instrument, forms the musical culture of the Cossack era. For the peasants, the performers are a symbol of truth, national liberation. Kobza has a small number of strings (the first samples had 35 strings), light, made individually by an individual performer. Kobzars are heralds, carriers of information, are the prototype of the modern press. Kobzar workshops-fraternities are created, where they teach kobza games, create instruments, nurture the performing traditions of individual regions and become a prerequisite for the creation of Chernihiv, Poltava and Kharkiv schools of kobza art. The bandura remains more elitist in the hands of officers, hetmans and wealthy citizens. Region of dissemination of this instrument are Ukrainian cities, court chapels of Poland, Russia. The bandura is distinguished by the presence of strings in addition to the main strings, by heavy and large construction. Bandura players was, as usual, socially protected, had higher demands and a more respectable status in society. Further research on this topic will highlight the difference between "kobzarism" and "bandurism" and highlight their role in the development of musical art and culture of Ukraine. {"references":["Bobechko, O.
