The construction industry has been heavily criticized in recent times for its lack of quality of construction due to qua;lity of workmanship in condominium construction. The relationship between quality of workman ship and the quality of condominium construction are the two most interrelated construction words. Quality can be defined as the measurements of excellence or state of being free from defects, deficiencies and other variation. Quality to the construction product refers to the goodness and the level of satisfaction to the clients. The quality of Condominium constructions in Addis Ababa are the main issues of that concerns with Contractors, Micro and Small Scale Enterprises (MSEs), Consultants and Housing Development Project Office (HDPO). Quality of workmanship is a comprehensive approach to bolster the durability, serviceability and safety aspects of the construction. Workmanship with higher standards is a positive and humanistic approach to productive management designed to bring together all levels of workforce and experience in an organization for setting standards of excellence and achieving better outcomes. Skilled workers’ performances was one of the crucial aspects of labor productivity that requires proper attention for effective projects delivery in the construction industry. The relationship between quality of workman ship and the quality of condominium construction: in the case of Koye Feche condominium housing project. The data was collected by three methods which are by literature review, questionnaire survey and observations on condominium construction in Koye Feche. . Primary sources of data were used and also purposive sampling is used to select the respondents. In this study of descriptive type of research was used to show and characterize the existing situation in the City of Addis Ababa. The relation between quality of Workman Ship and the Quality of Condominium Construction of the study areas indicates that directly related. There were poorquality of workmanship and poor quality of condominium occurred. The data were collected and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. Mean ranking and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used as tools to analyses the data. . |
