| Popis: | Hyporhamphus intermedius (Cantor) (Fig. 50, [LU]) Distribution. Plover Cove Reservoir; Tai Lam Chung Reservoir (current survey). Native range. Northwest Pacific, including South China (East Asia). Remarks. Individuals DNA sequenced from both localities revealed a 4.1% divergence from Hyporhamphus intermedius, indicating it could be a different species despite morphological similarities.
