This project deliverable presents a tailor-made value network approach to examine and set out a networked business model for four different case studies from the intelligent transport sector representative of the landscape in Europe. The approach is composed of five main steps: 1. Network – inputs from case studies; 2. Actors – qualitative stakeholder analysis; 3. Value flow maps – quantitative analysis; 4. Crafting value propositions – ideation workshops; 5. Design of networked business models. The explored VNA model includes a qualitative and a quantitative analysis: The qualitative analysis defines and discusses the needs and objectives of each stakeholder in a value network as main innovation drivers and derives a basic value flow maps that captures the interactions between all actors. The quantitative analysis assigns numeric scores to each value flow, a pre- and post-validation ranking and an expert ranking via direct interaction with stakeholders and experts. In addition, the quantitative analysis provides examples of specific value loops from each network that brought useful insights about the central stakeholder’s interactions with multiple actors. |
