| Popis: | We report two cases of pyroglobulinemia detected in the course of routine determination of fibrinogen levels measured by the heat-precipitation method and that led to the diagnosis of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. The incidence of pyroglobulinemia is briefly discussed, and the potential significance of this laboratory artifact is emphasized. |
