Popis: | We have found that the described needle has been a valuable addition to our arteriographic armamentarium. When it is necessary to insert a large needle or plastic catheter into an artery, the procedure can be done less traumatically if the lumen of the vessel is first located by this small bore needle. Once this needle is inserted into the artery, it can be used as a guide for the insertion of a larger needle, which is passed over the smaller one after the detachable handle is removed. The needle described can be easily constructed from readily available materials. |
