Popis: The vacuum structure of a bidimensional model including a real scalar field with quartic and sextic self-interacting terms is analyzed on a lattice. Starting from a classical potential with three equivalent minima the quantum corrections modify the tree-level picture so that as a last resort the vacuum is unique. Eventually we briefly discuss the effect of introducing a Yukawa boson-fermion coupling.
