Popis: | ABs'r~AcT--Hyperbaric oxygen (OHP) used as a modality in the treatment of patients with intractable osteoradionecrosis of the mandible produced a favorable response in terms of relief of pain, elimination of extraoral sinus tract, the return of osseous union in areas of pathologic fracture, and the rapid dissolution of sequestrum without suppuration, so that further loss of hard and soft tissue was kept to a minimum. OHP presents a more conse~wative approach in the management of osteoradionecrosis and enhances the probability of total rehabilitation. |
