This discussion paper aims to stimulate debate and the development of innovative approaches which help women entrepreneurs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to secure investments which support the development and the growth of their spinouts and start-ups companies. We hope it will be of interest to: Policy makers at a national and international level who wish to maximise the potential of women entrepreneurs and their impact on their economies and society Current and potential investors who are interested in understanding the challenges facing women entrepreneurs and how they and the wider investment ecosystem can address them Entrepreneurs and founders who wish to understand what support is available, how to access it, and how other women have been successful in their entrepreneurial journeys Academics who are considering commercialising their research and wish to better understand the investment opportunities and challenges Universities wishing to support the commercialisation of their university’s research and grow the opportunities for successful spinouts |
