Popis: | A 71-year-old male consulted us because of recurrent episodes of irregular paroxysmal palpitations associated with chest pain. The patient had a family history of Brugada syndrome (the mother died suddenly at the age of 40 years and a daughter was diagnosed as a carrier of Brugada syndrome). The cardiac evaluation revealed a structurally normal heart. A coronary angiography excluded the presence of coronary artery abnormalities. Atrial fibrillation was already diagnosed 12 years before the present consultation.
