| Popis: | This paper deals with the problem of modelling CPU-disk communication. A CPU-disk system is considered as a closed network of waiting lines. Based on the ideas of the mean value analysis a recursive scheme is developed to approximate the major performance characteristics. The accuracy of the model is shown in some examples. Some attention is given to rules of thumb which are used in the performance evaluation of computer systems. |
