Popis: A paleogeographic scheme of the deposition space of the Upper Triassic siliciclastic sediments of the Reingraben and Lunz Event (Lunz Member, Tržinovo Formation and Došná Beds) occurring in the Central Western Carpathians was compiled. Their deposition space was spread on a shelf with the Alpine development of the Triassic and its parts are preserved in several nappe units (in the Tatricum, Fatricum, Veporicum and Hronicum). The compiled scheme was supplemented by some information (approximate thickness of sediments, direction of transport currents, occurrence of macro- and microfauna, occurrence of macroflora and coal seams) documenting the division of the deposition space, and/or to enabling characterize the sedimentation environment. The reconstructed area was then located south of the Vindelic-Beskydic ridge (separating the area with epicontinental Germanic Triassic development from the Alpine development Triassic shelf) and south of the site of supposed entry of the siliciclastic material into the shelf space. It was placed in a position in which it was probably located in the Upper Triassic, at the time of sedimentation of the Lunz Member. Biostratigraphic research was carried out parallely with the compilation of the paleogeographic scheme, foraminifers were obtained from the bottom of the Reingraben Shales.
