Popis: Typhlopolycystis coeca Karling, 1956 (Fig. 2) Diagnosis. Yellowish species of Typhlopolycystis, 1.5 mm long with a very large proboscis (1/3 of body length) and no eyes. Prostate vesicle and accessory secretion vesicle well developed. The prostate stylet is a short and straight gutter without thickenings (20���25 ��m long) and the accessory stylet is a slightly curved tube, 26���30 ��m long, both sitting on a ring with a diameter of about 25���30 ��m over its largest cross section. Occurrence. Sweden: Kristineberg, Bredungen, silty bottom at 38 m (type locality). Other localities near Kristineberg (by Westblad and Karling). Germany: several sublittoral stations in the Bight of Kiel (by Ax) (see Karling, 1956); Koningshaven on the Island of Sylt (medium sand, eulittoral)(by Ax, 16 August 1965, Noldt, 1989). Studied material: the holotype (SMNH type nr 2701), one more whole mount of an animal from the Kristineberg area (SMNH nr 82300), and one from Sylt (SMNH nr 43585).
