Popis:	The postmenopausal patient with new onset vaginal bleeding should be assessed with transvaginal pelvic sonography. An endometrial thickness ≤4 mm (ACOG) (or 5 mm by other societies) is a safe cutoff to defer endometrial sampling as the risk or endometrial malignancy is 1 % unless the patient has persistent or intermittent bleeding where the risk may be higher [1].
