Popis: | Primary prevention of CAV in heart transplant (HT) recipients should include strict control of cardiovascular risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking and obesity), as well as strategies for the prevention of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection (Costanzo et al., 2010). The sum of various risk factors has a negative impact on survival (Almenar et al., 2005). In addition, malnutrition increases the risk of infection post transplant and may reduce survival (Hasse, 2001). |
