Popis: | To be able to generalise research results, a study population should reflect the national population regarding relevant characteristics such as ethnicity. The recent Dutch DELIVER study among pregnant women strived for optimal participation of ethnic minorities, particularly Turkish and Moroccan women. The main measures were: continuously monitoring the origin of participants, contacting all non-responders by telephone, availability of written questionnaires in Dutch and English, and availability to complete the survey by telephone in Dutch, English, Turkish or Moroccan. The measures seemed worthwhile but did not result in a fully representative study population regarding ethnic origin. |
