Popis: We propose two strategic elements for the U.S. Magnetic Fusion Research Strategic Directions decadal survey effort. The first strategic element proposes investment in the development of a community-driven open source software framework for plasma physics research and education. The second strategic element is that science-quality experimental results from fusion devices funded by the U.S. Department of Energy be made publicly available and citeable within six months after data collection.
