PRESENT STATUS: Tupinambis teguixin (Linnaeus, 1758). REMARKS: The mentions in the Reise are incidental. The treatment in the Beitra¨ge comprises several specimens. Measurements are given of two very large specimens, one with regenerated tail. Two plates in the Abbildungen show lateral and ventral views. There are no specimens in the collection.
