| Popis: | Treatment of the BW HeLa cell line with daunomycin increased incorporation of nucleotide precursors into nucleic acids and restored an abnormal pattern of RNA synthesis to normal. These effects were found to be due to the antibiotic activity of daunomycin on Mycoplasma hyorhinis contaminating the cell line and not to any direct effect on cellular nucleic acid synthesis. |
