Popis: | 1. 1. A cine-photographic method of determining the reactions of the siphon of Ciona is described. 2. 2. For the first 48 hr after removal of the ganglion, the closure of the siphon (siphon reflex) was less sensitive to electrical stimulation and the reaction took longer. 3. 3. Forty-eight hours after removal of the ganglion, the siphon reflex returned to normal sensitivity and latency. 4. 4. Cholinergic, anticholinergic agents and anticholinesterases have no effect of the siphon reflex. |
