Two new species of nematodes from the families Monhysteridae and Tobrilidae are described. Nematodes were collected from small forest ponds in North and Central Vietnam.Monhystera vietnamicasp. nov.differs from morphologically closeM. uncigubernaculumZedan, Jacobset et Geraert, 1989 mainly in longer vagina and rectum, fromM. rolandiKhan et Tahseen, 2006 in longer cephalic setae and presence of ocellus.Brevitobrilus laraesp. nov.differs from morphologically closeB. orientalisTsalolikhin, 2013 mainly in longer body and longer and thinner, not hornlike cephalic setae. The genusBrevitobriluswas previously represented in Vietnam only by the speciesB.stefanskii(Micoletzky, 1925). |
