| Popis: | We introduce the concept of multidimensional periodic knot f:Sn–2→Sn generalizing the classical case n=3. More precisely, given a semifree Z s action on Sn, ϱ: Z s×Sn, the above knot ⨍ periodic with respect to ϱ if and only if ϱ( Z s×f(S{sun–2}))⊂f(S{sun–2}) and f(S &{sun–2})∩ Fix(ρ)=O where Fix(ρ)={xϵSn|ϱ(ξ,x)=x,∀ξϵ Z s} is the fixed point set of ϱ. We study such knots from the point of view of embeddability questions. |
