Popis: This paper describes the use of a new integrated hybrid programming system which provides equation- oriented specification of continuous-system simula tion models. The programming system also provides automated setup, checkout, and operation of the hybrid computer. It is based upon the APSE compiler originally developed through the National Computing Center in England and the HYTRAN ® Operations Interpreter (HOI) implemented on EAI hybrid computers. The new program-generation system uses analog and digital processors that have been enhanced in order to enrich the programming languages used and to pro vide compatible analog and digital file-processing. This enables the computer to automatically generate a complete HYTRAN object program file which is processed on-line by the hybrid system for setup, checkout, and operation of the analog processor. The benefits of automatic program generation over the manual process include significant reduction of programming difficulty, time, and cost, error-free program setup and operation, and increased producti vity for both all-analog and hybrid simulations.
