Popis: | Clinical reasoning and judgment are examined in relation to other mode of thinking used by clinical nurses in providing quality health care to patient that avoids adverse events and patient harm. The study was titled to assess the effectiveness of facilitator led intervention programme in enhancing clinical reasoning skill among registered nurses of selected hospital at Trivandrum district. The objective of the study were 1) To assess the clinical reasoning skill among registered nurses 2) To assess the effectiveness of facilitator led interventional programme in enhancing clinical reasoning skill among experimental and control group 3) To compare the effect of different facilitator led interventional programme on clinical reasoning skill 4) To find out the association between clinical reasoning skills and selected demographic variables among registered nurses. The research design used was quasi experimental two group pre-test post-test design. 60 samples (30 experimental and 30 control) were selected by simple Block Randomization. The clinical reasoning skill was assessed by using Script Concordance test. The facilitator led interventions used were concept mapping, case scenario, problem based learning and brain storming. The training on each intervention given on 6 sessions per week for 1 hour. There is no significant difference between the scores of the two groups pre-test. The mean pre and post test score of control group had no significant difference (P. Thus it is concluded that facilitator led interventional programme is effective in improving the clinical reasoning skill. {"references":["1.\tKassirer, J. P. (2010).
