| Popis: | The present study tested the generality of the associative hypothesis of organization in children's free recall. 10 kindergarten, 10 fourth, and 10 tenth grade subjects were tested for their memory of 24 noncategorical pictures partially composed of highly associated items. Only the tenth grade subjects grouped associated material together at recall. In addition, younger subjects did not improve recall or organization across three trials with the same stimuli. |
