| Popis: | This case report describes the course of disease in a patient with a solitary metastasis of a thyroid gland cancer to the mandible. The justification of the application of I 131 is explained, and the accumulation of radioactive iodine in the metastasis following the activation of the hypophysothyroid axis is clarified. The pretreated metastasis took over the primitive hormonal function of the thyroid gland. |
