Popis:	Collaboration with members of the public in (digital) humanities research enjoys increasing popularity. Researchers may recruit participants on citizen science platforms. Based on the analysis of citizen science platforms and drawing from the literature on citizen science, this conceptual paper highlights the revolutionary potential of citizen science in the digital humanities, which may open up new ways of collaboration beyond academia.
