Popis: | The luminescence yield of SrS:Ce,Na powders doped in the range of 0.01 to 1 at.% was investigated. The radiative efficiency and the excitation efficiency, decisive factors contributing to the luminescence yield, were determined by time resolved photoluminescence within the doping sequence. The luminescence decay of SrS:Ce,Na is characterized by an afterglow which has taken into consideration for the estimation of the luminescence yield. The optimum doping concentration was found to be in the range of 0.1 to 0.4 at.%. Investigations by electron paramagnetic resonance yielded that the concentration of properly incorporated Ce3+ is saturated nearly at 0.4 at.%. |
