Popis: | In resource limited settings accurate respiratory rate (RR) measurement directly informs medical decision-making for children with respiratory problems.1 Counting RR remains a challenge: it may not be done 2 or gives rise to highly disparate values despite the use of RR counters.3 Technological solutions may permit more children to have assessments and may alter clinical decisions. A hand-held pulse oximeter with integrated RR measurement (Rad-G, Masimo, Irvine California) in 97 children reported good agreement between measurements of the device and pediatricians. |
