An unusual case of transient bundle branch block is presented in which normal QRS complexes were present at slow cardiac rates and bundle branch block appeared at higher rates: this alteration occurred whenever the rate was varied sufficiently. 2. 2. No demonstrable evidence of organic heart disease could be found to account for the transient block. 3. 3. Theories of etiology and the mechanics of bundle branch block are discussed in relationship to this case.
