The Lawu geothermal prospect is located in Karanganyar - Central Java and Magetan - East Java. Geologically, Lawu is a quaternary (Pleistocene) active volcanic geothermal indicated by the presence of lava rock. The rocks hosting this area are intrussive and sedimentary rocks developed during tersier to quarter. Surface manifestations present in this area are Fumarole with temperature of 93°C located on the summit of Mt.Lawu, and Chloride-Bicarbonate hot springs with 30-40 oC temperature spreaded in northwest and southwest directions of Mt.Lawu. Based on geochemical data, the reservoir temperature is estimated to be 250oC. The zone of prospect area, reservoir geometry and geothermal conceptual model are derived from geophysical data by using Magnetotelluric (MT) method. MT survey was focused in southwest direction of Mt.Lawu, associated with the location of manifestations. The total of MT survey locations is 35 points with 1000 m spacing between points. MT data processing was done by using standart procedure with co-kriging method for static shift correction. 2-Dimensional inversion was done by using WinGLink with 10 line sections. The inversion result shows the presence of low resistivity layer ( |
