Popis: | Giant multilocular prostatic cystadenoma is a rare clinicopathologic entity characterized by benign histology and the ability to enlarge massively. The lesion may arise from the prostate gland either in continuity with the prostatic urethra or separate from it, or it may arise as a lesion distinct from the prostate gland. Obstructive voiding symptoms occur in all reported cases. The use of preoperative radiographic evaluation, such as magnetic resonance imaging, effectively defines the lesion's benign nature and aids in planning surgical extirpation. |
