Popis: | ENTERIC DL.PLICATION CBTS are rare congenital anomalies that can be found anywhere in the alimentalyy tract or adjacent organs. They usually consist of a tubular or spherical structure lined by a gastric or intestinal mucosa, tend to be situated on the mesenteric aspect of the gut, and may share with it a common muscular wall and blood supply. I-,’ Seldom, isolated cysts can be found in a relatively remote location fi-om the gut, such as the biliaq tree. liver, pancreas, or even the tongue.2.3 At these locations the cysts usually contain no communication with the parent gastrointestinal tract, and their blood supply is derived from the organ with which they are associated. Pancreatic involvement is extremely rare. Only six previous cases have been noted in the literature. Most of the reported cases shared basic common clinical features and remained undiagnosed for many years. Although the entity is rare, it should be considered in a young patient with recurrent abdominal pain or pancreatitis. We present two cases of enteric duplication of the pancreas diagnosed at adult age. The first was diagnosed incidentally, and the second had chronic abdominal complaints for many years. |
