Domestic wastewater (DW) pollutants data is complex to generate and not usually collected to be freely available to everyone. DW data is required to understand and improve the status of DW sanitation. Open Science and FAIR principles can be the norm for openly sharing DW data. Some experiences are shared related to DW, from the data collection to publication. Relevant points are documentation, privacy, data handling, reproducible workflows, version control, and prioritizing targets. Finally, some general recommendations are listed for (beginner) researchers that want to start sharing their data. |
