Popis:	A 70-year-old woman with the isolated anomaly of azygos continuation of the inferior vena cava is presented. The interest in this anomaly lies in its presentation as a mediastinal mass on the chest roentgenogram. This article reviews the embryogenesis and the diagnostic testing of this venous anomaly.
