Popis: Department of Chemistry, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra-132 119 Manuscript received 21 July 1994, revived 29 December 1995, accepted 4 March 1996 Complexes of Coll, CuIl and ZnIIwith N-salicylideneamino acids have been prepared. Amino acids used were glycine, L-alanine and L­phenylalanine. The Schiff bases function as terdentale with O,O and N donors from carboxylic, phenolic and imine groups respectively. An octahedral geometry around CoIIand ZnII, and a square-planar geometry around Cull have been proposed.
