Popis: | Summary Studies were carried out in nineteen human subjects with the object of testing the hypothesis that oxytocin modifies the action of suxamethonium and d-tubocurarine. The neuromuscular blocking action of suxamethonium was assessed in anaesthetized subjects by means of twitch tension and tidal volume and that of d-tubocurarine was assessed in a volunteer by means of grip strength and vital capacity. All the evidence indicated that oxytocin does not modify the action of either suxamethonium or d-tubocurarine. |
