Popis: BACKGROUND: The key to diversity in nursing is that nurses can provide competent nursing care to patients, within the scope of their responsibilities, regardless of the patients’ personalities or primary and secondary factors.AIM: To research which dimensions of diversity influence the attitude of nurses towards patients and the quality of nursing care.MATERIALS AND METHODS: This research study is based on the descriptive and causal non-experimental method of empirical research. The independent samples t-test was used, and the within subjects ANOVA with the Bonferroni posthoc test.RESULTS: There are statistically significant differences among the dimensions of diversity in the arithmetic means of the ratings of the impact on the quality of nursing (F (1.407, 579.658) = 103.307, p < 0.001). Based on the Bonferroni test, the impact of the “personality” dimension was rated statistically significantly higher than the impact of the dimensions of “primary factors” (p < 0.001) and “secondary factors” (p < 0.001).CONCLUSION: The diversity factors should be taken into account when developing knowledge of nurses for managing patients' diversity. In modern nursing care, the safe clinical environment needs to enable the patient to feel safe and dignified.
