Popis: A postmortem blood specimen contaminated with a variety of microorganisms was noted to contain increasing ethanol concentrations upon standing. Various organisms were isolated from the specimen, and all were found capable of producing ethanol when inoculated into bank blood. The effect of fluoride on the production of ethanol was determined.
