Popis: To study the effect of drugs on the cardiovascular system, pressure and flow must be measured simultaneously. Flow measurement usually requires venous and arterial puncture (for dye dilution) or use of costly equipment (isotope techniques). This study was initiated in order to introduce the use of a pulsed Doppler velocity meter for recording changes in aortic flow. The method was used for studying changes in hemodynamic parameters in resting, normal man after sublingual administration of 10 mg of Adalat.
