This article deals with reading and textual production in the context of digital culture, elucidating the concepts of transmedia narrative, transmidiation and fanfics. Its objectives are to investigate the production and characteristics of narrative fiction by fan subjects; discuss about the creative freedom present in the production of fanfics and its relationship with the subject's engagement in this practice. The methodology involved qualitative netnographic research, in which the productions of a site for reading and publishing fanfics (Spirit Fanfics) were observed in the period from 2016 to 2020, classified and subsequently analyzed through content analysis. During the research, we adopted the application of an online questionnaire to the research subjects as a data construction procedure; readers and authors of fanfics, about the practice of textual production and the creative freedom provided by the fan culture scenario. The results especially show considerations about the creative freedom analysis category present in the practice of fanfic production, showing how it promotes the engagement of the subjects involved in the process, providing the effectiveness of connections between information/contents in different languages and, consequently, the construction of meaningful knowledge through the writing of fictional narratives. |
