Popis: | Fluid collected from non-inflamed sites contained only hyaluronic acid, whereas fluid collected from severely inflamed sites possessed additional components corresponding in electrophoretic mobility to dermatan sulphate and chondroitin-4-sulphate. The results imply that the source of gingival fluid glycosaminoglycans is the associated periodontal tissue and that the fluid may well be a vehicle for the transport and subsequent detection of glycosaminoglycans in the tooth integuments. |
