Popis: | Sarcoidosis of the bones in the hands and feet is not uncommon. However, sarcoidosis involving the axial skeleton is unusual. The authors present the case of a 37-year-old man with sarcoidosis who developed low-back pain. Radionuclide bone scan demonstrated abnormalities in the pelvis, spine, and scapulae. A bone scan directed open biopsy of an abnormality in diagnostic tissue from the ilium. |
