Popis: In this paper, the photocatalytic removal efficiency of this dye by a 1wt % CuO-ZnO nanocomposite was studied. The synthesized CuO-ZnO catalyst was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV-Visible spectroscopy.The degradation of Congo red was monitored using UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The XRD analysis of the catalyst revealed a hexagonal wurtzite structure. The effect of operating variables such as initial Congo red concentration, catalyst dosage and pH of the solution were studie.
