Popis: | Cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnants are rare lesions which present on the lateral side of the neck, anterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle. They have been recognized by various names since their discovery as a pathological entity, however they have been designated a distinctive term as of 1997. Although not yet confirmed, the true origin of these lesions has been under scrutiny for the past century, and scarcity of reported cases hinders this process. Treatment of these lesions is complete surgical excision. A case of a 4-year-old girl with a unilateral left sided cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnant is presented. |
