The content of this paper is about designing and analysing the performance of a photovoltaic roofingtile. Though adequate housing is a human right, it appears not to have been awarded due priority.Energy which is one of the commodities that makes a house liveable has taken over the show whileit would be of no value without a hosting roof.This paper attempts to bring a two-in one solution through a photovoltaic (PV) roofing material inthe shape of a delta tile which can serve as an electricity supply device. Reviewed studies about PVroofing material relate to the integration of the PV material in the roof with a focus on construction,chemical or mechanical perspectives. Scientific methods explored pertaining to the PV tile topology,the energy yield and its dynamics, the applications and the beneficiaries of the technology arediscussed in this paper. |
