Popis:	A case of poisoning by potassium cyanide is described, in which life was maintained for 37 hr 30 min prior to death. The nature of the capsule containing cyanide seems to be unique. A new clinical sign is presented in which the appearances of the fundi were characteristic and reversible. Attention is redirected to the inability of most people to identify cyanide by smell.
