Popis: | A method of construction is presented for fabrication and incorporation of a fine wire exposed junction thermocouple into a hypodermic syringe. The junction is protected by the hypodermic needle until the needle has been placed in a desired location. The 0·0005 in. chromal-constantan thermocouple formed has a bead diameter of approximately 30 μ (3×10−3 cm), a time constant in still water of less than 1 msec, and one of the largest thermoelectric powers (V/degree) of the commercially available thermocouple wire combinations. |
